I have recently watched "The Grapes of Wrath" and "12 Angry Men" and grew fond of Fonda.
This is Henry Fonda from the film "12 Angry Men". I used a red prismacolor pencil to first sketch it out. Then I used 005, 02, and 03 Micron pens for the line work, a Fiber-Castell PITT artist (brush) pen for the large dark shapes, and finally Warm Grey Prismacolor Markers for the shading.
This is fantastic. All the different types of edges that you use, and the contrast between line and solid value make the whole thing very visually potent.
ReplyDeleteBut why am I looking at the rings of your sketchbook.
